Double Dub : Musicans should Lead the way

This is a debate that has been going on since the fringes of MTV consummated it self unto the main stream media and the binding question is that are Music Videos becoming more immoral and reckless in the way that they are portrayed by the public media? In the article I have read it speaks about Madonna who by all means is a symbol for sex. Now the question of moral obligation comes about when Madonna is challenged for her sexuality by the media. Camille Pagilla has stated the art and artist have no moral responsibility to the media. Now by the term she uses to describe moral obligation is the responsibility to not so immorality to the public. It could be a complicated term but as an artist to the people she must set good examples. Since there fore children and teenagers follow her as an idol her examples will be mocked by younger viewers. So to say Madonna has no control of what she is portraying is tacky because Madonna is a spoke person for younger kids so she has to have a good image. Liberal social causes are could be the very fact to release a person for conservative ideals of what the people believe to correct or it could be the mass Medias ideals of what is correct and wholesome for society. For years people have challenged society’s morality with coming out with crazier and more intense or immoral behavior. The liberal media as been on the attack for years since artist like Madonna where bold enough to make a stand against the moral fabric of the nation. Now I believe in the first admen ant right of free speech and right to prosper but some times the music industry takes things a little overboard in the style and approach. Examples of immoral behavior can be seen not to long ago with Lindsey Lohan , Paris Hilton and other high name celebrities like Charlie Sheen who do nothing but endorse partying , and drugs. Drugs and other greengage shouldn’t be apart of the main stream media and the only reason I can think why main stream media had allowed such crap in because the people wanted to have such crap in their lives and cared nothing to get rid of the junk while they had it. If people want to have better morals in America than they must send in suggestions or picket the record companies on what they release to the American people. A lot of people think because they are an artist gives them the right to be an immoral dumb ass but I tell you this that’s not the case in this matter. People regardless will look up to people in power or influence because of their talents. But their talents should help forward people and not lead people into stupidity. Like Spiderman says even though it’s the corniest thing in the world “ With Great Power comes Great Reasonability” and musicians should do like wise with their actions about music.
